Shalom Marathon Club runners tackle Loskop Marathon in Middelburg

Runners from the Shalom Marathon Club participated in the 32nd Forever Resorts Loskop Ultra Marathon on Saturday, 21 April at the Loskop Dam.

The overall winner was Zimbabwean, Charles Tjiane, who breasted the tape in a time of 2:54,15.

Tjiale also successfully achieved a hat-trick as this was his third win in succession.

Charne Bosman was the first woman to cross the finish line in a time of 3:21,00.

The runners from Shalom completed the race and posted the following times:

• Jeff Madihlaba 4:51,40

• Bheki Shongwe 4:55,54

• Russel Sibiya 5:04,13

• Molifi Hlangwane 5:04,15

• Shadrack Nhlapho 5:07,17

• Themba Nzuza 5:09,24

• Nelson Nhlabathi 5:18,18

All seven runners including six other teammates will represent the team in the Comrades Marathon in June.
