Lekwa City FC from Standerton has an uphill battle at away-matches

According to the team, fans of the opponent entered the pitch, just less than 10 minutes after the second half began.

Lekwa City FC lost 1-2 to Witbank City Lads on Saturday, 10 April.

Coach Musa Magagula stressed that the referees are killing the beauty of the football game.

Mr Magagula said one goal scored against them was clearly offside and added when they attack, the decision is made that they are offside.

“I should however, not complain about referees, this is the ABC Motsepe League, that is how things are done.

“We can’t keep on complaining since we have a home-game home on Wednesday and are now focusing on that one.”

Lekwa City FC will play Benfica FC from Bushbuck Ridge at the Sakhile Stadium on Wednesday, 14 April at 3pm.

Another opponent awaits them on Saturday, 17 April when they face Gemsbok FC, an away-match.

Their match against Barberton City Stars FC in Barberton was cut short on Saturday, 3 April.

According to the team, fans of the opponents entered the pitch, just less than 10 minutes after the second half began.

Information suggests that the referees, as well as the home team, were scared.

Barberton Police were called for assistance, who said they have only one bakkie and it was out, and will only be back late.

Nelspruit Police were then called who said they will call Barberton Police and will help the former.

The time was about 4pm.

Police escorted both teams and referees two hours and 30 minutes later from the field. The match was a 0-0 draw.
