Laerskool Trichardt hosts first archery competition

Some 106 shooters competed in the archery competition at Laerskool Trichardt.

Laerskool Trichardt hosted its first archery competition on July 22. There were 106 shooters comprising cubs, primary and high school learners, and adult archers.

LS Trichardt had 13 learners and three teachers in two bulls-eye competitions and walked away with nine medals and a trophy.

In the first competition, Holden Venter shot 257, coming third in the boy’s cub category and third overall for the cubs.

Maryam Mohammed shot 230, taking third in the primary school girl’s category. Floors Boshoff shot 249 to take third in the primary school boy’s category.

Teacher Elzann Taljaard shot 253 to claim third in the adult category.

In the second competition, Venter shot 257 and claimed second place in the boy’s cub division and second place in the overall cub division.

Khadija Hassen shot 234 and ended in third place in the primary school girl’s division.

Reinhardt Reynders shot 270 and claimed second in the primary school boy’s division and third in the overall primary school division.

Reinhardt Reynders also shot the first 50 for LS Trichardt this year.
