Father and son from Secunda take on Red Star Raceway Club Racing

Secunda’s father and son Nicho Jonck (36) and Robert (13) competed in the Red Star Raceway Club Racing event that took place on October 7 in Delmas.
Robert qualified in eighth place in the short circuit 150cc class with a lap time of 1 minute and 06,788 seconds.
In race one Robert finished in eighth place. He also managed to set his personal best lap time of 1 minute and 04,200 seconds and finished in fifth place in race two.
He finished the day in the sixth spot overall in the short circuit 150cc class. In the sub 400cc class, Robert qualified in fourth position with a lap time of 2 minutes and 33, 333 seconds.
He finished third in race one in the sub 400cc.

In race two, he finished in third place and once again set a personal best lap time of 2 minutes and 26,104 seconds.
Robert ended the day in third place overall in the sub 400cc class. Nicho qualified in the sixth spot in the premier 1000cc class with a lap time of 2 minutes and 04,260 seconds.
He finished in fifth place in the premier 1000cc class in race one. Nicho also managed to set a personal best lap time of 2 minutes and 01,858 seconds and finished in fourth place in race two.
Nicho clinched fifth place overall in this event. The Jonck’s thanked Edenvale’s LekkaRacing shop for the setup of the bikes and their support in this event.
