Juanita is taking part in Miss SA Junior
The Miss SA Junior Pageant will be held from 1 to 4 May.
SECUNDA – Juanita Visser (17), a pupil from Hoërskool Secunda, is taking part in this year’s Miss SA Junior.
The pageant is currently underway and Juanita has made it to the top 10 out of 45 contestants in her category.
“This is my biggest pageant to date and I am hoping to bring the title of Miss SA Junior to Secunda,” Juanita said.
Her cousin got her involved in modelling.
“What began as something fun, has become a big part of my life, I really enjoy it,” Juanita said.
Juanita is a very competitive young girl.
She received the title of Miss Debutante and Miss Mpumalanga Model Search, among many others.
She also participates in schools sports such as hockey and netball and has received medals at the South African Acrobatic National Championships.
Juanita is currently focusing on keeping fit in the gym and maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
“My beauty tip is to never go to bed with make-up on, no matter what time I get home.”
Her motto in life is: “Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass. It is about learning how to dance in the rain.”
Pageants have also become a learning curve for Juanita.
“Everything you do needs to be done wholeheartedly.
“You cannot begin something and not finish it and you must be proud of what you have achieved.”
Juanita said that charity plays a big part in modelling and she is currently doing charity work for Vissies vir Jesus.
“Charity comes in all sizes,” said Juanita.
