Funds raised for a good cause
The school selling the most stickers will get a floating trophy.
The “Wear to Care” campaign of the South African Women’s Federation (SAWF) took place on 16 May.
R10 stickers were sold to raise funds for the different services offered, because they only receive a small grant from government.
The school selling the most stickers will get a floating trophy.
The campaign took place at different venues including Laerskool Jeugkrag, Laerskool Standerton, Standerton Old Age Home and Wimpy.
Standerton Primary School also took part and pupils wore hats of different shapes and sizes and there were only two pupils who won.
The day also saw the launch of the “Bring back our Girls” campaign at the school.
This follows after an Islamic militant group, Boko Haram, kidnapped more than 230 Nigerian school girls in Chibok three weeks ago.
