Lindiwe shares her special recipe

Pastor uses four ingredients to make special tart.

SECUNDA – Cook n Loer will invade somebody’s kitchen in the Secunda area every week to find out what is cooking and if a dish is created or if the person is rigidly following a recipe.

Perhaps it is a secret family recipe or the ingredients are not known to the society.

Let us find out.

Cook n Loer popped into Ms Lindiwe Sibande’s kitchen last week and she not only let the team of Cook n Loer into her kitchen, but also into her heart.

She is the pastor of the The Rock of Ages Church and said she realised from a young age that she wanted to work with people.

She reckons she received a special gift from God, namely the gift of love for human beings.

Growing up with only a mother who cared for her, things did not always seem so good.

However, with opportunities that came her way, she qualified with a tertiary education and was able to build her career.

Today she is in the wonderful situation to be able to combine her secular work with her calling from above and serve her congregation with passion.

The Rock of Ages Church reaches out to people and sow love and hope in their lives.

“I always tell people, especially the younger generation, not to forget or despise small beginnings,” said Ms Sibande.

“Many positive things have originated out of small beginnings.

“Never think never, think of life as a recipe which contains several ingredients.

“With only one of the ingredients you cannot prepare a dish, nor with only two, but if you mix all the ingredients together, you can bake or make the complete recipe.”

Ms Sibande makes a pudding with her special recipe and the pudding might start off with only four ingredients, but it could end up as a trifle.

Her congregation calls her Mama and she dollies up this recipe with four ingredients.
