Our readers were on high alert with April Fool’s Day and therefore we decided to shift our focus and prank our staff.

We pranked:

• Our editor, Wayne van der Walt, whose stationery and other desk equipment were ‘prestiked’ to his desk.
• Our sub-editor Ms Marina Schoombee, who called the Pretoria Zoo to speak to a certain Mr G. Raaf.

• Our office manager, Nalda Williams who got into a booby-trapped vehicle with the air con, windshield wipers and hazards going off when she started it.
• Our graphics designer, Gugu Shabangu, whose keyboard and mouse were plugged out and later ‘sellotaped’ to her desk and who also received a call to inform her about a suspension due to sexual harassment in her workplace.
• Our journalist, Senamile Phungula whose icons just stopped working on her computer.
• Our other staffers who were served coffee and tea with a sugar replacement in the form of salt.
