Film maker from Wesselton shoots movies destined for the small screen
With just a crew of seven, the movie is about two lovers who lose and find each other in a rural setting.

A local film maker is shooting a movie, destined for the small screen, in various locations around Wesselton and Amersfoort.
Set to be commissioned by a national broadcasting channel, the movie is written and directed by a familiar face in the Highvelder, Mr Nkosingiphile Maseko.

The newspaper published the story, “Local film maker making great strides producing films and music videos” on 19 May 2017.
With just a crew of seven, the movie is about two lovers who lose and find each other in a rural setting. Nomathemba features Bonsile Ngcongwane as the lead actress.
Filming began in June and should be completed this week, 27 July.
It is produced by a local production company, Like of Tomorrow Entertainment, and Mr Maseko hopes it will be on the small screen at the beginning of August.
“Once we are finished with production, we will send the end product to the broadcaster who will view it and ascertain whether it can be shown on their channel,” Mr Maseko said.
With no funding at all and Mr Maseko using his own equipment, the crew used normal cameras instead of a typical video camera.
The crew has had to go a day without food just to finish filming in adequate light.
Mr Maseko is making great strides in the film and media industry, having made and produced local films and music videos with his work televised on national broadcasting channels.
He is the owner of Thusiville Film Studios and he has won numerous awards in the Gert Sibande region, including best producer and song writer at the Gert Sibande Media Awards.
Mr Maseko admitted he does his greatest work between the four walls of his room in Thusiville, eMadamini.
A statement that rings true, as he has landed 18 awards from the Department of Culture, Sports and Recreation.
If all goes according to Mr Maseko’s plan, residents of Msukaligwa will be able to watch and enjoy homegrown talent on the small screen soon.
