Skhumba Hlophe is coming to Secunda with his new show #IMeanBizniss

He will be performing new jokes

SECUNDA – Skhumba Hlophe is back with a brand-new one-man special, Skhumba Hlophe Live #IMeanBizniss.

He will be performing at Graceland Casino, on Saturday, 28 September from 8pm and tickets cost R165.

Skhumba has become a household name thanks to his role as Bheki in SABC1’s comedy series Thandeka’s Diary, which is currently in its third season, and his radio hosting skills on the Kaya FM show Good Friday with Skhumba and Ndumiso.

Yet it’s stand-up comedy that makes him tick and the industry is rewarding his commitment and talent.

From politics to celebrities, nothing is off limits when it comes to his comedy and he pulls no punches.

But his humour isn’t always appreciated. One of his gags backfired in 2016 and a petition circulated online to have him removed from the airwaves.

His career has soared over the past three years however and his feet are still firmly on the ground.

“I’m happy, but I haven’t celebrated my success,” said Skhumba, who also co-hosted a motor show on Mzansi Magic with Boity Thulo called Change Down.

One of his greatest achievements is the Walk this way with Skhumba, his annual wheelchair drive which has grown in leaps and bounds since 2016.

The wheelchairs donated to those in need have been a source of great inspiration among his peers who come together and help Skhumba achieve his goals every year.

In 2018 he’s once again nominated in four categories in the Savanna Comic’s Choice Awards for the third consecutive year, making him the most nominated comedian for the awards since its inception.

With the recognition he’s getting from the industry and his followers, it is befitting that he dubs his brand-new one-man special #IMeanBizniss, because it shows that not only does he take his craft seriously, but the industry and his fans take him seriously and recognise his passion.
