Thick Queens and celebs are warming up for Winter Show

SECUNDA – This April fashion will meet comedy at the annual Plus Size Winter Show hosted by Thick Queen Productions.

This event will take place at Graceland Hotel, Casino and Country Club on 25 April.

Patrons can expect the latest fashion trends for full figured women, as well as a night of comedy, music and entertainment.

Busiwe Gumede, television and radio news presenter, will be the host of the night and the entertainment line-up includes Tee M Bee RSA, Siya Seya, Consensual Soul, The Bullet Man, Kayise, Tallext Gee, Stain, SaintBeatsSa and dancing couple Dumi and Mbali.

Models auditioned on 1 and 2 February for the chance to grace the catwalk in the latest winter fashion from various designers.

The women went dressed to impress judges with their walk and wit.

The models were eventually selected by the judges’ decision, as well as public votes from the Thick Queens Facebook page.

Thick Queens’s founder, Mr Nicolas Mashiane said the Facebook votes are a new and fresh idea to see who is most favourable in the public eye.

Tickets to the Plus Size Winter Show cost R150 each and the winter show is open to all ages.
