Romantic comedy filmed in Secunda area stars local talent

It was filmed in eMbalenhle and Secunda and features local actors. "We want to see local talent on all media platforms like television and other available areas for exposure," said Mr Mpofu.

HIGHVELD – A locally produced romantic comedy short movie called Isoka Lamanyala (It will end in tears) hit social media by storm while it was produced in July last year.

The movie is based on the life of a playboy ( played by Sydney Dludlu) as he navigates his way through multiple relationships on a public holiday, trying his best not to get caught by his girlfriend.

He managed to have as many side chicks as he can by telling lies that he is not in a relationship.

He was eventually caught in the act by his girlfriend and completely broke her trust, according to producers Messrs Mpumelelo Mpofu and Pat Mashele.

The movie premiered in December.

It was filmed in eMbalenhle and Secunda and features local actors.

“We want to see local talent on all media platforms like television and other available areas for exposure,” said Mr Mpofu.

“We will let everyone know when we need new talent and audition dates will be announced before we engage in a new project, because we not only need the local community’s support but we also need them to take part and showcase their talent. Some might bring production ideas that could contribute in the development of local talent,” said Mr Mpofu.

This movie is available on Youtube for now but will be seen on big screens soon.

“We are negotiating with other production houses and preparing for a second shoot,” said Mr Mpofu.
