UPDATE: Robbers shot at Secunda Mall – police are searching for vehicle

UPDATE: 3pm
The Secunda Mall has reopened since the shooting of two men who allegedly tried to rob Diamonds & Pearls in the Secunda Mall this morning.
One robber died on the scene and the other suspect was seriously wounded. He has been taken to the hospital.
The police have since issued a partial registration number of a vehicle they believe might be part of their investigation.
The vehicle is a white VW Polo sedan and the partial plate is CC00CFGP.

Robbers shot at Secunda Mall
SECUNDA ‐Shots were fired at Secunda Mall this morning around 10am.
According to a reliable source, a robber was shot dead and another wounded when they targeted the Diamonds & Pearls store on the ground floor of the mall.
They were allegedly part of a gang.
The wounded suspect is being transported to the hospital.
The Ridge Times is awaiting a statement from the mall’s management. Police and emergency personnel are currently on the scene.
