Stolen electrical meters found in Standerton
The estimated value of the meters is R10 000.
A total of 12 conventional meters were recovered on Sunday, October 3.
According to Kasselman Security Services (KSS), two of their guards on night shift noticed a green bag that was thrown over the wall of Lekwa’s electrical department.
A suspect then jumped over the wall and began running.
KSS gave chase and he was apprehended on the railway lines.
According to KSS, a guard on the premises confirmed that two suspects were involved in the theft.
The area was swept and the other suspect not found.
A case of theft was opened at the Standerton Police Station.
