Line-up of bouts in Secunda to thrill boxing enthusiasts

The fights begin at 12:00 and end at 16:00 onpril 25.

More than a dozen boxers are gearing up for an action-packed white-collar boxing event taking place at Dominators Den in Secunda on 25 April.

The stable of boxers includes fighters from Secunda, eMbalenhle, Standerton and Witbank, and although many of them are honing their skills in mixed martial arts, on this day they will bring only their boxing gloves and their ability to dish out and take punches into the ring. No throws or kicks—just good old pugilism.

The main event will feature TNT Standerton’s giant, Johan van Schaik, taking on Dominators Den’s professional MMA fighter and recent EFC 132 main card winner, Siya Nomvemve, in the heavyweight division.

The run-up to the event will kick off with youngsters Killer Bean (Dominators Den) taking on Samkelo Kunene (eMba Boxing) in the under-40 kg division.

Breyden Groenewald (Dominators Den) will take on Sibusiso Zwane (eMba Boxing) in the under-55 kg category.

Following in the line-up will be Loftus Versfeld (Dominators Den), taking on Tiaan Meyer (Witbank) in the under-67 kg division.

In an under-61 kg bout, Lethabo Moloi (Dominators Den) will take on Vernon Scheepers (Witbank).

Ben Mabaso (Dominators Den) and Simphiwe Sophuka (eMba Boxing) will vie for the winner’s title in an under-69 kg fight.

The women will also be represented when Bianca Campher (Dominators Den) and Zinhle Radebe (eMba Boxing) clash in the under-60 kg division.

Energetic and charismatic Jayden Ashleigh Calvert will be the announcer on fight day. Tickets cost R200 each at the door and, with limited space, make sure you are there by 11:00 to buy your ticket and find your seat.

The fights begin at 12:00 and end at 16:00, followed by an exciting auction to finish off the day.
Food (wors rolls) and drinks will be available for purchase.

Don’t miss the action, the energy and the atmosphere at Dominators Den, situated at 6 Manie Maritz
