The Lekwa Local Municipality Council has appointed Executive Manager for Community Services and Safety, Thobeka Mtshiselwa, as acting municipal manager for a period of three months.

The appointment was resolved during a special council meeting held on May 28, as the municipality prepares to recruit and appoint a permanent Municipal Manager.

Mtshiselwa will oversee the administration and operations of the municipality during the interim period until the appointment process for the new Municipal Manager is concluded.
