I Promise Football School edges Secunda Spurs in friendly clash

This friendly match on June 24 was part of the football school’s preparations for its fixture against Olympiacos Greece Academy.

I Promise Football School defeated Secunda Spurs FC Academy 3-2 in a friendly match at Highveld Park High School on June 24 as part of its preparations for a high-profile fixture against Olympiacos Greece Academy.

The match formed part of I Promise Football School’s build-up to its encounter with the Greek academy, which took place on June 28 at the Greek Sports Club in Linksfield, Johannesburg.

Coaches Henry Mkhwanazi and Bafana Ngwenya accompanied the team, along with former international player Wesley Ntshangase.

In addition to the match, the coaches were set to attend a training course presented by Olympiacos director Tony Dais.

The academy programme also included Bible study sessions. Based in Leandra, I Promise Football School was founded by Ntshangase.

The academy focuses on youth development, offering young footballers opportunities to hone their skills and gain competitive experience.

In addition to nurturing local talent, the academy regularly hosts and participates in youth tournaments to promote the growth of football in the region.

The victory over Secunda Spurs FC Academy provided valuable match practice ahead of the academy’s Johannesburg outing.
