Update: Horror accident driver charged

A case of culpable homicide and driving under the influence has been registered at Roodepoort Police Station after a man died in Friday evening’s horror accident on Wilgerood Road.
This according to Honeydew Police Cluster’s spokesperson Captain Karen Jacobs. The driver in question, in his early 20’s, was taken to Honeydew Police Station for a blood test. He was then taken to hospital for his injuries to be treated.

Currently he is not being detained and a court date has not been set as the investigation must first be finalized and the necessary reports obtained, said Jacobs.
The investigating officer, Warrant Officer Clifford Allcock is requesting that anyone with information or who witnessed the accident, make contact with him on 011 279 6523.
