Roodepoort police ask for witnesses to truck and taxi crash in Wilro Park

Roodepoort police are appealing to anyone with information about the collision between a white Mitsubishi truck that was transporting gas, and a yellow Toyota Quantum minibus taxi in Wilro Park on Tuesday, June 14 to contact them.
The accident which claimed the life of a female taxi passenger happened on CR Swart Road between Naboom Street and Elkie Drive in Wilro Park at about 15:00.
JMPD spokesperson Xolanin Fihla confirmed that their officers responded to the accident and that a case of culpable homicide, and reckless and/ or negligent driving was opened at the Roodepoort Police Station for further investigation.
According to the Roodepoort police spokesperson Captain Juanita-Anne Yorke the docket is still under investigation.
