The team from KCCC Foundation took a breather during last year's clean-up.
Community members, local security companies, schools, and parkrunners are invited to join the annual Florida Block Watch Len Rutter Park clean-up on Saturday, September 19.
According to Florida Block Watch chairperson John Kirsten, this year’s event promises to be even bigger than previous years.
“We’re inviting everyone to come and take part in giving Len Rutter Park some much-needed TLC,” he says.
“There will be a free boerie roll and some refreshments available for volunteers. The clean-up is scheduled to start at 07:00 and finish by noon,” says John.
Residents are encouraged to bring gardening gloves, a rake or spade, or both, a hat and sunscreen, and some water to keep hydrated.
