Northside biker brings back silver
Fabio Albano took part in the South African Grand National BMX Champs.

Held at the Alexander Park Sports Grounds in Pietermaritzburg, the SA Grand National Champs BMX Series, Legs 3 & 4, were successful legs for Fabio.
Racing in the combined 11 & 12 Novice Class, the ten year-old managed to win three races and took 2nd in five races out of the eight that he competed in.
This gave Fabio overall 2nd place in both legs and earned him two silver medals. Despite racing with a punctured wheel in one of the Sunday races, Fabio still managed a 2nd place and shows just how determined our local young sportsmen are.
Fabio’s aim is to race in the expert class for his age group next season so he can improve his skill and speed.
Fabio trains and races at the 44one track on Hoeveld & Glover Street in Honeydew, and the Germiston, Alrode and Kempton Park BMX clubs tracks.
