Honeydew riders gallop to success

Horse riders collected various awards at the Gauteng West Region Schools Equestrian (Sanesa) awards evening held recently.

At the recent Gauteng West Region Schools Equestrian (Sanesa) awards evening, riders from Glover Paddocks in Honeydew rode away with 12 medals in various different disciplines associated with horse riding, such as show jumping, dressage, performance and working riding. Riders from various schools, including Eagle House, Trinity House, Laerskool Horison, and Heron Bridge College took away some of the awards. School riders came from both primary and high schools.

Individuals also excelled. In the primary schools, Caitlin Kruger won gold for working riding and silver for performance riding, whilst in the high schools, Tasmin Maher in grade 11 achieved the highest overall points across all west region high schools. In total, 17 riders who train at Glover Paddocks were selected to represent the West Regional Schools in the forthcoming Gauteng Championship.
