Baby Moses to spend time with the elderly

Residents at the Môregans old age home can look forward to being treated from the children at the Baby Moses Sanctuary today.

The children at Baby Moses Sanctuary will give 67 minutes of their time by visiting Môreglans Old Age Home in Krugersdorp today in celebration of Mandela Day this week.

Not only will they be spending time with the elderly, they will also donate surplus goods as well as surprise gifts to the old age home.

“We will be providing the elderly with adult nappies, toiletries, household cleaning products and a television antennae as some of them are not able to watch television,” said an excited Lani De Klerk, founder of Baby Moses.

Lani said they decided to visit Môregans Old Age Home because some of the residents staying there have not seen their families in a long time.

She said the outing will be good for the children as they will practice the importance of caring for each other and showing love to people who miss spending time with their loved ones.

“The children are looking forward to spending time with the elderly,” Lani said.

She said what they will be donating to the old age home might not be much, but she hopes it will help make their lives a bit easier.

Baby Moses Sanctuary asks the community to contribute during the month of July to help them remain sustainable for the month.
