Search for ‘Black Audi’ gang resumes

Five apprehended people released.

The community is disappointed after police discovered that the five people questioned in connection with the ‘Black Audi’ murder and robberies, are not the wanted suspects.

This comes after security company Dunmar Security had apprehend four males and a female in a black Audi on Kilburn Street. When questioning and fingerprinting them, as well as doing a check on the vehicle, it was discovered it is not the wanted gang.

Colonel André Laing said Krugersdorp Police informed him they were looking for an Audi A4 and not and Audi A3. This raises the question whether the same suspects were involved in the armed robbery in Andries Pretorius Street (an Audi A3) and the murder in Pannell Street (an Audi A4). Is it possible that the same gang uses different vehicles?

This past weekend a black Audi was spotted in Witpoortjie again. One resident reported suspicious activity by the occupants of a black Audi in Payne Street. They allegedly sped off after the resident had heard screams.
