No power after stormy weather

Technicians are on site working to restore power

Stormy weather on the afternoon of 10 November might be to blame for many residents being without electricity.

Roodekrans, Wilro Park, Honeydew, Witpoortjie and surrounding areas have been without electricity since late yesterday afternoon.

According to City Power’s Twitter service, the entity is aware of the issue, which was most likely caused by the stormy weather. Technicians are on site working hard to resolve the issue.

There is no estimated time for the power to be restored, but residents are urged to be patient and follow the updates on City Power’s Twitter (@CityPowerJhb) timeline.

Yumna Sheik, spokesperson for Ciy Power confirmed that the Kloofendal Substation Bay tripped at midnight.

“Technicians are onsite and estimsted time of repair has not been confirmed yet”, Sheik said.
