Halloween celebrated in frenzied fashion

The event was organised by the Radikop Residents Association which set up a jumping castle and stalls with goodies in the cul-de-sac to spice up the occasion.

Guy Fawkes masks, plus spooky and fairy-tale costumes, were the order of the evening on Saturday, 26 October, when a group of Radiokop residents took part in the annual Halloween Walkabout.

Melody Street in Radiokop is where the fun was unleashed, and about 40 children rocked up in their most creative and entertaining costumes for the evening.

The event was organised by the Radiokop Residents Association which set up a jumping castle and stalls with goodies in the cul-de-sac to spice up the occasion.

To bring out the best in the children, the association held a competition in which various categories were adjudicated. Prizes were awarded to the best-dressed boy and girl; the best girl and boy singer; the best stall and the best-dressed adult, among others.

The Walkabout concluded with a picnic, braai and more music to keep attendees entertained.
