Tshego’s murder case disrupted by Covid-19 cases at court

The proceeding were postponed after the news came through that two policemen at the Roodepoort Magistrates' Court had tested positive for Covid-19.

The much-anticipated court appearance of the man accused of murdering Tshegofatso Pule did not take place on Thursday, 2 July.

The proceeding were postponed after the news came through that two policemen at the Roodepoort Magistrates’ Court had tested positive for Covid-19. Instead of the normal proceedings the day was spent disinfecting the court rooms.

The matter was postponed to next week when the accused is expected to be defended by a private attorney after ditching Legal Aid during his previous appearance.He is currently facing charges of premeditated murder following Tshego’s death.The slain 28-year-old from Soweto was found hanging from a tree in Durban Deep, Roodepoort last month. She had suffered stab wounds to her upper body.
