Nerves of steel by a concerned resident may prove the deciding factor in helping to bring wanted men to justice. Police are searching for two suspects who were filmed committing an alleged burglary in Fleurhof on Friday, 21 August.
The owner of the property was alerted to a possible incident at her house when the video footage was uploaded on her community social media group. After noticing it was her household items being loaded into the suspects’ vehicle, she rushed home to find her security gate and wooden flooring to be badly damaged.

Brave camera work by the neighbour identified with clarity the make and colour of the vehicle, a blue Hyundai, which was used to carry away a 43 inch plasma TV, a high-quality music system, and several items of clothing.
Crucially, the person taking the smartphone video footage identified the vehicle registration number, FY 41 VX GP, which could be key to police securing an arrest. Despite claims on social media, Florida Police spokesperson Sergeant Mpho More confirmed early on Saturday morning that no arrest had yet been made.
“Anyone with information of the housebreaking or who can identify the suspects may please contact Florida Detectives on 082 319 9551,” she requested.
