A maroon Mazda and a stolen VW Polo vehicle are currently sought by law enforcement in the area following a house robbery on Tuesday, 15 September before 3pm.
“At 2.50pm, a call came in across the community groups that an individual was screaming for help in Adamson Crescent,” said Arno Dorfling, BCI’s Operations Manager.
“R2, D1 and ST response vehicles were dispatched and arrived within four minutes. The neighbours confirmed the armed robbery at the targeted house,” he explained.
After the property was assessed, it was reported that three armed perpetrators used the ‘element of surprise’ to gain access to the house by catching the female occupant off guard.
“The perpetrators ransacked the house and took a television, handbag, jewellery and a white VW polo out of the lady’s garage,” Dorfling detailed.
He added that ER24 was dispatched to attend to the victim who was in distress.

“CCTV obtained after the incident revealed that the perpetrators used a maroon Mazda as the getaway vehicle. They were also seen leaving in the VW Polo driving towards Johannesburg.
“The scene was handed over to police upon their arrival, and a case of armed robbery, assault and motor vehicle theft was opened,” he concluded.
