Three criminals disguised as recyclers were caught by Absolut Security personnel after their trolley was found with suspected stolen copper cables in the early hours of 22 September in Poortview.
The company’s Elmien Parker said at 3.40am, response officers conducting regular patrols in the area noticed three men pulling a trolley which appeared to be filled with bottles and papers.
“When they were asked to show us the content and we investigated the trolley [content], we found a huge bag full of stolen copper cables. We apprehended one suspect and handed him over to the local police, where a case was opened,” Elmien explained.
