Hijacked truck recovered almost 200km away

The Johannesburg Metro Police Department (JMPD) reported on the recovery of the truck in Roodepoort

Questions about a ‘broken down’ truck carrying tons of face bricks on Nic Diederichs Road in Wilgeheuwel were finally answered.

The Johannesburg Metro Police Department (JMPD) reported on the recovery of the truck in Roodepoort which followed numerous complaints of it causing congestion as it blocked one of the lanes.

The hijacked truck was found abandoned in Roodepoort.

JMPD also disclosed in a statement that the truck was hijacked in Bela-Bela in Limpopo on Wednesday, 4 November and was left abandoned in Roodepoort, a total distance of 172,7km away via the N1.

No arrests were mentioned in the statement.
