Annual CPF toy run to start and end at Honeydew Police Station

The number of personnel taking part in the event has had to be severely reduced this year due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

The Honeydew Police reservists together with the local CPF will be hosting their annual Montgomery SAPS toy run on Saturday, 12 December.

The toy run will commence at the Honeydew Police Station at 7.30am and end at the same venue at around 2pm.

The number of personnel taking part in the event has had to be severely reduced this year due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

People who will be joining the toy run will have to travel in one of the nominated vehicles as they will not be permitted to take their own vehicles.

Last year’s convoy visited Ann Harding Cheshire Home for the disabled, Golden Harvest Retirement Home, Baby Moses, Kids Haven and the local hospitals, which included Life Wilgeheuwel Hospital and Netcare Olivedale.

This annual event has been running for the last 10 years and is well received by the community.

The objective is to bring joy and smiles to the community that these members serve in, and create a positive experience with the Police during the festive season in a campaign aimed at the protection of women, children, the elderly and people with disabilities.
