New Year – same you

A positive change helps you reach your goals faster because if you believe in yourself, and if you are making an effort to reach your goals, everything will flow.

Only a few days to go until we announce the start of the year 2021. It may be a new year, but you are still the same person. You still have the same responsibilities and problems. Just because the year changed doesn’t mean that the world has reset and all your problems have disappeared.

To stick to your resolutions, you need to make a concerted effort; you need to change. Not necessarily change yourself, but change your outlook and the way you approach things. Nothing will change if you don’t make the effort to change it.

The year will only be different if you change your bad habits from the previous year. If you want to lose weight, exercise and change your diet; if you want to buy something extravagant or go on holiday, save and budget. If you want to stop smoking, or drinking, then make an effort.

A new year doesn’t have magical powers that will suddenly make everything okay, and that is the reality of it. If you want to change, then work for it and remember it won’t happen overnight.

Change is a good thing if you do it right. Sticking to your goals and resolutions can have so many positive outcomes. When you make a conscious effort to change for the better you become more self-aware. We can differentiate between what is and isn’t good for us. We explore new things and push the boundaries of our comfort zones. Self-awareness will also improve your confidence, self-love, and self-esteem.

When you change for the better, you become kinder to yourself and more accepting; you begin to see your flaws as strengths and opportunities. You will relax more and become a happier and healthier person overall.

A positive change helps you reach your goals faster because if you believe in yourself, and if you are making an effort to reach your goals, everything will flow. The journey of a thousand miles does start with the first step after all. If you are kinder to yourself, you also become more willing to work towards your goals.
If you make a concerted effort to stick to your New Year’s resolutions, and you try to change, you will be happier. You become more grateful and open to new opportunities and adventures.

So make your resolutions, but just remember that you are still the same person, so your plans won’t come to fruition unless you push yourself.
