Look to the future on Isaac Asimov’s birthday

Science fiction has a great ability to mesh fantasy, philosophy and ideology into a deep contrast between the hopes and fears for the future. Along with Philip K. Dick and Arthur C. Clarke, Isaac Asimov was one of the great futurist story tellers.

The man who would turn 101 today is the writer of I, Robot and The Bicentennial Man which he would finish in 1950 and 1976, respectively. Asimov penned countless greater novels but the aforementioned will ring a bell for film buffs familiar with the Will Smith and Robin Williams cinematic adaptations.
