A suspect has been arrested in connection with the senseless 2017 killing of two men at a Wilro Park liquor outlet. The then owner of Blue Bottle Liquor Store and an Apcan reaction officer were gunned down on 2 September 2017, victims of an armed robbery.
The suspect is believed to have been arrested outside of Gauteng on 8 January before being transported to Roodepoort Police Station. “A suspect has been arrested and he appeared in the Roodepoort Magistrates’ Court yesterday, 11 January. Investigations are still ongoing,” confirmed Roodepoort Police spokesperson, Captain Juanita Yorke.
