Enrol now for basic skills training for jobseekers

“This programme is designed to take our youth through the digital transition with them fully understanding the future and ahead with the skills set required.”

The road to economic freedom via educational upliftment is a bumpy one, filled with potholes and debris.

Sakhane Youth Development Forum is helping to smooth the road to prosperity by calling on young adults and jobseekers to register for their Microsoft digital literacy job readiness programme. It offers basic skills training to arm jobseekers with the minimal pre-requisites needed to survive in an entry-level office job.

To bolster one’s chances, every person who completes the course receives a Microsoft Digital Literacy Certificate to add to their CVs. “Sakhane is focused towards upskilling our low-income and unemployed youth with the minimal skills set required for them to brace the 4th Industrial Revolution successfully,” said Sakhane’s Microsoft-accredited head facilitator, Cavall Elliot.

The programme durations is 12 weeks with students only needing to attend one day a week. The course is valued at almost R2 000 but Sakhane offers the comprehensive course for just over R100, which includes CV formulation, interview preparation, and development exposure. “This programme is designed to take our youth through the digital transition with them fully understanding the future and ahead with the skills set required,” continued Cavall.

Registration is open and those interested are asked to contact Cavall for course dates and locations on 067 816 9280 or at sakhane.ydf@gmail.com.
