TKSWR to begin academic year online

The King’s School West Rand (TSWR) was one of many private schools that showed readiness to kick off the year, but government regulations halted those plans.

Following the revised school calendar being announced by the Department of Basic Education (DBE) which saw the reopening of schools postponed, most adequately resourced schools were also forced to adjust to the rules.

However, owing to modern technology, the principal of the school, Ken Langley indicated that some form of learning will take place virtually.

“In our ongoing communication with the DBE, we have received confirmation that we will be allowed to open for in-person teaching on 1 February. In the meantime, we are launching online schooling from Monday, 25 January,” Langley explained.

He also advised parents to be on the lookout for further email communication with more detailed information, timetables and other arrangements.
