“Medics assessed the man and found that he had sustained a serious injury to his left arm.”
A minor motorcycle accident has left a 17-year-old seriously injured on 8 February.
The young man was travelling on Wilgerood Road just before 10am when he lost control of the two-wheel machine. Paramedics arrived to find the teen resting in the busy main road, with his vehicle on the opposite side of the street. No other persons or motor vehicles were involved in the incident.
“Medics assessed him and found that he had sustained a serious injury to his left arm. He was treated and provided with pain-relief medication before being transported to a private hospital for further care,” confirmed Russel Meiring, ER24 Communications Officer.
Further investigations are being conducted by the authorities who attended the scene.
