Roodepark School welcomes Presidential Youth Employment Initiative assistants

The assistants will be deployed for three months with each receiving a government-paid stipend for their work

Small opportunities can grow into massive achievement and sometimes youth just needs that little gap to grow.

The Presidential Youth Employment Initiative (PYEI) is a government stimulus programme that aims to assist young job seekers with temporary working opportunities. Roodepark School has grabbed the opportunity with both hands, bringing in almost 20 assistants to help with multiple tasks around the school. PYEI participants vary in age and levels of education, with one having a Bachelor of Arts in Politics.

Applicants nationwide had a choice of which school they could join, but Roodepark School actively recruited the current batch of recruits. Many of the participants are former learners of the school, smoothening any initiation period. The assistants will be deployed for three months, with each receiving a government-paid stipend for their work.
