The paths have been walked, the obstacles have been graciously overcome and now the gates have been rightfully opened.
Fighting through the most unique of circumstances, The King’s School Discovery matrics have reached the top of their hill. Principal, André Berrangé, invited his newly crowned matrics and their families for a congratulations ceremony, 19 February, to show his appreciation for all the ways they have made his school proud.

A comparatively small, yet continuously growing school, their 13-member matric class of 2020 has achieved a 100 per cent pass rate this year, Principal Berrangé’s first full year in charge. Each 2020 matric would receive a glass of non-alcoholic sparkling wine, a delicious chocolate treat, a celebratory streamer and the all-important Independent Examination Board (IEB) certification envelope.
The King’s School Discovery delivered a total of 10 distinctions with Anna Enweremadu bagging a personal tally of three distinctions and Nicole Oelofse running her close with two of her own. A jubilant Principal Berrangé gushed with appreciation, saying, “You have done us all so proud and we know you will be successful. Every matric that comes through The King’s School has a special place in our hearts.”
