Huge truck crashes into several cars coming down steep William Nicol Drive hill
No fatalities but two sustain serious and moderate injuries

Either disregard or an underestimation of the incline has led to mangled metal and tortured tarmac.
A double trailer truck carrying a heavy load of what appeared to be soil and rocks ploughed into three cars on William Nicol Drive on Saturday morning, 6 March.

Exceeding the tonnage limit of the steep incline down towards Life Flora hospital, the truck lost control, eventually coming to rest on its side, cutting a deep scar into the road surface.
Watch here:
Fortunately, there were no fatalities but two motorists were injured in the incident.

The patient that was left in a serious condition was airlifted to Millpark Hospital while the other patient, in a moderate condition, was treated on scene and taken to a nearby facility for further assessment.

The road had been initially closed but efforts are underway to restore the flow of traffic to normal.
Members of the public are still urged to please use alternative routes through the area.

Authorities were on scene and the incident is under investigation.
