Injured man discovered on the side of a Wilro Park road

Just before 7am this morning, 9 March, an injured man was found on Steinmann Road in Wilro Park.

Just before 7am this morning, 9 March, an injured man was found on Steinmann Road in Wilro Park. It is still unclear how the man came to be there, but according to Absolut Security Ops Manager, Dean Alberts, Absolut reaction officers discovered the man lying on the side of the road with blood on his face, and immediately contacted ER24.

Chairperson of the Roodekrans Neighbourhood Watch (RNW), Andreas Oberlechner, confirmed that after the RNW ops room had also been notified, they too contacted ER24 and sent out their own first responders to assist wherever possible.

The victim was transported to Leratong Hospital and according to reports he is still alive. Details surrounding the incident are sketchy, but the Record has made contact with ER24 as well as the Roodepoort Police and JMPD in an attempt to gather more information.

The relevant spokespeople said they would forward through any information they receive, at which point an update will be published.

In the meantime, spokesperson for the Roodepoort Police, Captain Juanita Yorke is asking anyone who may have witnessed anything, or has any idea how the injured man came to be on the side of the road, to please come forward and report what they know.
