Community leaders presented with Certificates of Appreciation

CPFs are fortunate to have people like Kenneth and Jon who give up their spare time to drive the patroller programmes, together with their teams who give up their own time to keep the community safe.

To be recognised in your community for your good deeds and leadership is an achievement, especially if it involves making sure that the voices of local people on policing and community safety issues are heard.

On Thursday, 11 March Jon Rosenberg and Kenneth Lekalakala were both presented with Certificates of Appreciation for the role they play in the community for heading up the voluntary patrollers programme.

Jon oversees the Honeydew Community Policing Forum (CPF) Sector 1, 2 and 3 areas which cover areas like Bromhof, Sundowner, Randpark Ridge, Weltevreden Park, Little Falls, Strubensvalley, Radiokop, Honeydew and Ruimsig, to name a few.

Kenneth oversees Sector 4 which covers the Cosmo City and Zandspruit areas, with all the sectors relying mainly on patrollers in the area.

CPFs are fortunate to have people like Kenneth and Jon who give up their spare time to drive the patroller programmes, together with their teams who give up their own time to keep the community safe.

“I am honoured to have received this Certificate of Appreciation, but it’s a team effort, and the certificate is shared with each and every one of the patrollers.

“You guys and girls are awesome, and it’s a privilege working with you all. Be proud of what you do, you are making a difference in our community.

“Thank you for your time and dedication. It doesn’t go unnoticed, and is much appreciated,” said Jon.

Members of the public who wish to join the Sector 1, 2 or 3 programmes are advised to get in touch with Jon Rosenberg on 082 450 2305 and all the required information will be provided to them.
