On Wednesday morning, 17 March, traffic at the Beyers Naude Drive and Juice Street intersection came to a complete halt when a Coke truck that had been involved in an accident was looted.
According to a witness, the incident happened very close to the Honeydew Police Station, as can be seen in the video.

Traffic was also affected as motorists stopped to help themselves to the lost cargo while law-enforcement had not arrived at the scene yet.
“I just got a message to tell me it was happening. I called the police, who informed me there had been an accident, and they were on scene,” said Honeydew CPC Sector Chairperson, Jon Rosenberg.
When the Northsider contacted Honeydew Police Station, they promised to give comment by the end of the day.
