Avid reader wins new book

The book, which comprises interesting short stories about ordinary people in the township, is dedicated to all women who in their own way have shaped the woman the author has become.

Local bookworm Elna Steyn and her husband Johan Els have expressed excitement to be adding a new book to their home library.

This after Elna won a newly released book by local author Lindiwe Nkutha, 69 Jerusalem Street.

The book, which comprises interesting short stories about ordinary people in the township, is dedicated to all women who in their own way have shaped the woman the author has become.

Johan, who collected the book on behalf of his wife (the competition winner) said, “She was ecstatic to win this book. We’ve been hunting for such a book. We prefer local authors much more because we feel they are more truthful in their writing than international authors,” he explained.
