Pedestrian tragically killed in bike accident in Weltevreden Park
When ER24 paramedics and the City of Johannesburg EMS arrived on the scene they found the pedestrian, a man in his 40s, lying in the middle of the road
On Friday evening , 2 April a pedestrian was tragically killed, and a biker injured when a motorbike crashed into a pedestrian on Kanniedood Road in Weltevreden Park.
When ER24 paramedics and the City of Johannesburg EMS arrived on the scene they found the pedestrian, a man in his 40s, lying in the middle of the road.
The biker, a man in his 30s, was found lying near his bike on the side of the road.
Paramedics assessed the patients and found that the pedestrian had already succumbed to his injuries.
Very little could be done for him, and he was declared dead.
The biker was assessed and found to have sustained moderate injuries.
He was treated and thereafter transported to Helen Joseph Provincial Hospital for further care.
Honeydew police and local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
