Muldersdrift community assists in locating suspects involved in the torching of  a Police vehicle

The team located one suspect in Krugersdorp, and Muldersdrift Police are currently questioning this person.

On Saturday, 4 April Charles Mbewe and his team, Gijima Tsosti, who carried out security patrols in the Video Informal Settlement, assisted police in locating suspects who were involved in the torching of a police vehicle in the early hours of Saturday morning.

The team located one suspect in Krugersdorp, and Muldersdrift Police are currently questioning this person.

They also assisted the Police with the loading of the shebeen owner’s liquor which has been confiscated.

According to Mbewe, the team is actively seeking others involved in the incident, and will forward suspects’ details to the Police in due course.

Officers who attended to a noise complaint at a shebeen operating at Video Informal Settlement, were attacked and their lives threatened, but fortunately managed to escape with minor injuries.
