Talent is the natural ability to do something well, and 14-year-old singer, songwriter, actress, model, dancer and International Junior Miss SA finalist, Gabrielle De Gama is second to none when it comes to the performing arts.

According to Gabrielle, she was upset about being invited into a WhatsApp group that pretended to want to know her better, but actually mocked and made fun of her and her goals to be a performer.
“So I wrote the song to express what I felt about that situation. Bullying should never define you; don’t believe what the bullies say about you.

“It is always best to believe in what the people who love you say about you, those who believe in the best of you,” said Gabrielle.
She wrote the song in lockdown level five, and also did a song-writing workshop to prepare for the 2021 International Modelling and Talent Association Convention (IMTA) in New York.
It’s been just under one year since she wrote Nasty, and probably less than a year before that, when she attended the international music workshop on song-writing with Nate Butler and Blaze Johnson Music at 33 And Me Talent Agency.
She is already busy with a second song, which she hopes will be completed by July before she goes to America.
“Your talent takes time to craft, but just keep going. Every life experience, and every person you meet along the way become a moment that you reflect on in the future,” said Gabrielle.
