WATCH: Junior Snuggles celebrates silver jubilee

"I hope people see us for what we are, caring for our children and staff. Hope we are around for another 25 years!"

The staff and learners at Junior Snuggles in Radiokop celebrated the school’s 25th birthday on 23 April. Learners were cautiously treated to a morning of play, party hats and masks.

Different classes were taken out one at a time to have their turn to play outside and on the jumping castles. Principal of the school, Megan Hunt said, “We’ve been limited to the amount of parties we can have because of the pandemic, so we decide to have our party today in a safe environment where the kids can really have some fun without having to worry about picking up germs wherever they go.”

In true birthday style, there was more than enough cake to go around, music, and jumping castles to wear down the subsequent hyperactivity from all the sugar.

Hunt said working at the school is a joy because the staff work together so well. “The kids’ needs always come first and it is just a beautiful place to be,” she said, adding that she hopes the school continues to grow from strength to strength.
