Join Little Republic for environmental fun day at Len Rutter Park
Festivities from 9am to 3.30pm include jumping castles, music, refreshment kiosks, and recycling stalls.
The cleanliness of the open spaces is the mirror’s reflection of the heart of that community.
The environment around us is a multi-generational responsibility that requires handing down knowledge from old to young. Discovery-based Little Republic Preschool is calling on the community to join them and their families for an environmental fun day at Len Rutter Park this Saturday, 1 May. Before the fun can be enjoyed, a little hard work is encouraged to create a visually appealing area to revel in the day’s delights.
“We are busy with an environmental theme this month and we are teaching the children all about recycling and keeping the Earth clean, and the importance of looking after and protecting the environment,” said Little Republic’s, Marissa Meyer. Cleaning the park will start at 9am and will be followed by free train rides courtesy of the Rand Society of Model Engineers.
“Anyone is welcome to volunteer to help clean the park and bring their children for a free train ride. We will also be promoting recycling projects and give information or tips on how to manage household waste and help save the Earth,” added Marissa.
Festivities will continue until 3.30pm and will include jumping castles, music, refreshment kiosks, and various stalls exhibiting the potentials of environmentally friendly lifestyles. Our environment is shared, as is the responsibility to maintain it.
